Tonight’s highly anticipated Met Gala, held in New York City at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, honored a fashion legend rather than a concept: Karl Lagerfeld, the late German-born fashion designer who is to credit for Chanel’s most iconic looks since the early ’80s.
